Jennifer Morrison said that she decided to move on from once upon a time and I'm not sure what I will feel about the next season if there is a next season with Emma barely in it or not in it at all
shareHonestly, I think they've already decided no Season 7, and they're waiting to announce it because of story impact.
At this point, Season 7 would feel like a tacked-on epilogue. But Season 6 hasn't wrapped things up. And it seems to be partly story, partly contracts. Really, I feel like last summer they should've just announced Season 6 as the last, then put in the effort to wrap it up properly. Because 6 seasons is too long for a show to be on for it to be so vague on its future.
Gotta disagree on that one. A good show that has good writer can last think Cheers or Seinfeld.... they both worked past 6 seasons.... Cheers even survived a couple of casting changes over the years so it can be done. Trouble is Once Upon a Time lost its way a few seasons ago and seemed to be caught in a story loop that seemed to repeat with only minor variations to a theme going on... That's not how you keep a show fresh. It was just lazy on the part of the writers that seemed to think each season needed the same trite backstory that became a joke.
shareFair enough. But to clarify, I wasn't using 6 seasons as a number that all shows should be finished by, more just because it's the year their contracts expire and they're reaching the end of this particular story.
shareThe main problem I have had with this show is Snow and charming having too much screen time. With Emma gone maybe they will go too. And the show will finally focus on other characters. Other fairy tales I guess. Emma leaving will be....strange. I mean maybe she has gone missing and season 7 will be about finding her? Then she makes a cameo at the end of s7?
Yeah not too sure how the show will continue with out the main character. Even though it seemed like snow/charming were the mains....ugh. But they can just like explain Emma away like....she's organizing the light magic. Some shows do better jobs with actors wanting to have less screen time than others. These writers seems to be pretty good at writing around stuff.
And we did have eps with little emma so it is possible.
