I finally got to watch "Designated Survivor" and I thought the pilot was great! I won't be watching live though because I watch "Queen Sugar" during that timeslot. Did anyone else watch? What did you think about it? I'm liking the show and hope it turns out to be a real political drama as opposed to the soapy disappointment Scandal turned out to be.
shareI watched and I really enjoyed it. I've heard a lot of good things about it. I love political shows so I also hope it stays focused on that. The plot is original and I like the main characters.
I haven't watched Queen Sugar yet. That's on my list.
Yes, I liked it, but I didn't watch live either. I try almost all of the political dramas, some are good, some get deleted quickly but I think this one has a good shot at renewal.
I like the lead, I can sympathize with him and hope he rises to the occasion. However, its totally possible that he crashes and burns, I wonder almost if he was set up, like how did someone so low on the pyramid get chosen as the designated survivor? Of course, the vice president, the President, etc.. have to be at the State of the Union but the best they could do was someone who was just demoted? Unless that was supposed to be some sort of "throw away" assignment, it feels like a set up by someone who knew the bomb was coming.
At any rate, there are a lot of mysteries to unravel so I'm in!
