OT: Golden Globes 2017: The Complete List of Nominations

KW was nominated for best actress in a motion picture or limited television drama series. The most interesting omission is that there were no African-American actresses nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series - Drama. IMHO, neither VIola nor Taraji were award-worthy this year and it most likely was because of the material they had to work with in TV because they are phenomenal actresses. They will shine during the holidays on the Big Screen.

As for who will win the Globa for Best Actress in a TV Drama series, I believe the winner will be Claire Foy for The Crown. I watched The Crown a couple of weeks ago, and her performance as a young Queen ELizabeth II is absolutely amazing.

Kerry, Jeffrey Wright and Confirmation got recognized with NAACP nominations and Kerry and Joe Morton got nominations for Scandal. While no Outstanding Drama series nominations for Scandal or How To get Away with Murder.

I'm hoping that Queen Sugar will sweep all the categories for which the show is nominated. I love the show, it's well written and I thoroughly enjoy the direction of the show. For me, Queen Sugar has replaced Scandal...and I think many Scandal fans have moved on as evidenced by the activity on this board...I'm rooting for Queen Sugar at the NAACP Image Awards next year.
