Does Fitz understand her choice because he believes it was Jakes child?
When Olivia left the White House after being outed ( season 5 ep "Yes") she met up with Jake, Fitz saw this video of them on the news, even though Olivia and Jake didn't have sex Fitz might assume that they did and rationalize the abortion as not his child but Jakes.
We're all on our way out, act accordingly.
I don't think that Fitz ever found out about the abortion.

He apologized to Olivia? Really? That would be laughable if it wasn't so cringeworthy. It would also have been more in character for him to flip the flukk out upon discovering that the "love of his life" aborted his baby. But for the one calling the shots script-wise, having Fitz react naturally is secondary to having him always be Olivia's doormat.
shareHe apologized. And looked like he was going to start crying or something. Its actually totally in character for him not to freak out. He's so obsessed with her that she could do literally anything and he wouldnt care. He never gets in her ass about anything she does.
