He kills his parents then gets legal guardianship of him, yea ok

Other than that bit it was a great movie, unrealistic but entertaining & fun. Looks like it may have been filmed a while ago seeing A.Braugher looking about 30 lbs. thinner than on episodes of Last Resort.

Yeah it seems a bit weak but I'm guessing that's why Billy Bob originally was shacking up with the godmother then tried to get rid of her. Not sure if there's a legal path in all that to declare him the kid's guardian but it works for me.

That's exactly why Carlos killed the parents in the first place, to get legal guardianship of Rob. He also tried to kill Celeste to be the one who would get the money when the boy becomes an adult. Celeste knew he was the one who did it because she knew who he was but he never admitted it and there was no proof against him since he ordered it but didn't do it himself. So as the sole survivor, with the real parents dead and Celeste in hiding, why wouldn't he have legal guardianship

Yea I suppose, but when I think of how strict child services is & how extensively they background check people in cases around here with people I've known, BUT Next of kin would take effect definitely & in this country with the laziness & corruption that abounds people can just about do anything. I nice $10,000 dollar stack on the desk & it's a wrap.
