Only 6.3 ?! Why so low.
I've read nothing but good reviews about this film.. I was expecting it to be in the 7-8's.... Hopefully it climbs.
shareI'm confused about it myself. I've seen loads of movies trying to go for the whole cult-genre and B-movie thing but this is one of the few that actually is able to pull it off.
The 3 brothers all play their parts extremely well and some of the dialogues are genuinely funny and interesting.
I hate using this arguement but the genre this movie is going for isn't appreciated by many ( and I can even fully understand that, it's my favourite genre and this movie would even make my top 20 but I find it hard to objectively defend it, because it's rather impossible. A lot of things people hate about this movie, are the things I love about it. ).
Although I've noticed that a lot of people just say ' fail attempt at trying to copy Tarantino ' when it comes to these kind of movies and that does genuinely annoy me. Tarantino does not have a monopoly on this genre and even though he has delivered some masterpieces and serves as a source of inspiration for many directors, they hardly ever try to copy him. I sometimes even wonder whether people even know what Tarantino stands for in cinema, they make the comparison far too easily.
