Silly question.

The movie ends with the parents waiting outside while the daughter is telling the judge who she wants to live with. All the end credits roll over while they're waiting. What's taking so long? I mean, she couldn't talk before, but they left the room. Does she have to sign something?

No, I don't think so. IMO you should see the end scene as kinda "crazy credits", not necessarily showing something is taking too long.

I think what's taking so long is that Termeh (the daughter) is looking for any opportunity to forestall her decision. I can imagine her initial silence and the judge gently prodding her, and Termeh still not offering her choice, looking to somehow someway prompt her parents to stay together because she loves them both, and the judge showing empathy and giving her time to pull herself together... I can easily see all that taking at least the time it takes for the credits to roll.
