is it just me or does the daughter look significantly older than 11! and while your here why does the woman have red hair...? and im not just putting this up cause i hate this film i LOVE this film so yeah just curious maybe there was an error in the subtitles? i dunno

Sarina Farhadi who played the daughter was really 11 years old when she played the part. I know this for sure because I read her interviews and also she played a small role in the film "Tambourine" (2008) and at that time she was an 8 years old kid and she looked like an 8 years old kid. She's just one of those people that look older than they really are in the adolescence.
Actually your English is fine. Sarina Farhadi (Termeh) was born in 1992 according to her father's bio in Wiki. Making her ~19 years old at the time of the film's release in 2011.
shareSorry, but Wiki it's not trustworthy most of the times. I'm an Iranian and know this for sure. I followed her roles from her childhood (when she played in her mother's TV series) and I'm certain of it.

shareI think the red hair dye shows that the mom is Americanized. She seems to have a lot of freedom there working, driving and dying her hair. Not what you would expect as a woman in Iran.
