shareIt's called acting. You might want to see him in other roles before you just decide his sexuality based on A CHARACTER HE IS PLAYING. For example, check him out in Veronica Mars, he was completely different...BECAUSE HE IS AN ACTOR.

I know, it's so funny to me that Max plays Deputy Mumblemouth on VM. Part of the reason he's so different on New Girl is because he's enunciating so hard as Schmidt that it makes him sound really affected and thus, kind of effeminate. Probably a reaction to being made fun of for mumbling his way through Veronica Mars as the adorable Leo D'Amato. He's still everybody's favorite non-Logan boyfriend! And kind of butch on VM!
