How did they get money to buy a house and fix it?
I could be wrong but I thought Schmidt lost his job a little bit ago.
Plus Cece was a model but I don't think she's done that for a couple years and is now just a daytime bartender.
How can they afford a place around Los Angeles?
Don't think too hard about it...they tend to let Schmidt be as rich or poor as the storyline needs him to be.
I originally thought that Schmidt quit his job in S4 to start that business with Nick and/or become co-owner of the bar, but evidently he never quit because he was still at that job in S5. If you are talking about in S5 and Schmidt almost getting fired for doing wedding stuff at work, I think Jess managed to save his job because his boss wanted her kids to get a slot at Banyon Canyon where Jess works now.
I guess Schmidt is rich again currently since he can pay all those contractors to do work for him.
Maybe his dad is helping him? Best not to think too much into these things.

shareYeah this is something I was talking about in another thread. THey spent too much time on nick x jess x reegan drama and not enough developing Cece & Schmidt's storyline in the wedding season so now everything is really weird on that end. Cece shoud have already gotten a real career by now and Schmidt should have something to replace his ad job, I'm not sure what he's doing anymore.
