Which opening do you prefer?
The one where Zooey sings, the one with pictures of the cast, or the one that just says "New Girl"?
shareActually, there's two versions of the intro where Zooey sings the theme song: The extended version where she begins with, "Hey girl, whatcha' doing?", and, the second being, "Who's that girl? (Who's that girl?) It's Jess!".
You really don't need to occupy as much time having a long, drawn-out opening sequence in a half-hour sitcom. It takes away from potentially including additional material in a single episode.
Personally, I think reducing it to just the title of New Girl is suitable. The one with the pictures of the cast looks like something out of a fashion magazine, LOL!
I like the original theme, but I understand if they needed to cut it down for more show time. I'm okay with that single black title card vs that Powerpoint hack job they had in S4. It was good that everyone in the cast was in that but it looked terrible.
