I heard someone point out once that Nick has a "type" so many of his girlfriends look really similar: Jess, Julia, Shane, Angie, Reagan

I always really liked Julia because Lizzy Caplan is awesome. I never really got the hype with Reagan because Megan Fox and Olivia Munn look practically identical to me. I feel like they downplay how attractive Jess/Zooey Deschanel is on the show because she's supposed to fit the stereotype of the "good girl" so she can't also be "the hot girl." They do that a lot in TV and movies. The way they make Jess act makes her stunningly unattractive now though.

Exactly, they constantly remind the audience how "hot" Reagan is supposed to be- I don't see it. At the same time they try to downplay Zooey's beauty, but it's so evident their attempts at presenting her as "girl next door" are ridiculous. The very few scenes with her and Megan Fox, I didn't even notice Fox. Zooey is way prettier, and doesn't need to have her dinglings hanging out of her top all the time. Much more classy and pretty.

Zooey is pretty but I wouldn't call her hotter than Megan. They're both very good looking

Jess! Zooey is gorgeous but NG likes to downplay it.

Outside of the core group, either Angie or Julia.

Pretty much all of them at least through season two except for Caroline.
