Why doesn't Jess have lenses and her glasses.

I've wondered that often as well. It might just be a hipster type thing. Many do it now

I don't think it's a hipster thing with Jessica. It goes with her whole quirky school teacher thing.

I think in a early episode (I think the first actually). A guy compliments her glasses and replies with "thanks they help me see".

I think they do take out the lenses so you can see Zooey's eye clearly. I noticed they don't do this with all character on the show with glasses.

I got a rounder pair of glasses (much like Jess's) in the last year and I have noticed my lenses are rounder (the curve on them. I think they have to be for the glasses) amd it does have a lot of glare I noticed (I have to take them off if I want a non glare or non reflection picture). That's my guess. They can't have lenses without glare and so they just take them out.

I do think it's kinda annoying. It's like one of those things you noticed that you can't unnoticed

So that she looks hippie, trendy and kewl.

It is really distracting.
