You guarantee it? I certainly won't guarantee it *will* make $1 billion+, but it will be rather shocking if it doesn't. Compare its performance so far to the 32 films that topped $1 billion. Only one of those films earned more domestically in its first 10 days than Black Panther has earned. That doesn't guarantee it will end up as the second-highest grossing film of all time, but it certainly suggests that it will. It's only been open for 1 day in Russia, and only in IMAX, and has yet to open in Japan and China. And it has a lot of earning left to do here in the U.S.
As for a successful "black" film-- it's hard to know exactly what you mean by that. Apparently to you it means it stars one black person, because Rush Hour was mostly white and Asian actors, plus Chris Tucker to make it "black" for you. Rush Hour's lack of success in China doesn't predict much about how Black Panther will do. After all, aren't the Fast and Furious films "black" films? They have a whole bunch of black folks in them! They're way blacker than Rush Hour, and the Chinese market loves them. We'll see soon enough how Black Panther plays in China, but at this point it seems like the film could skip China altogether and still hit $1 billion, or close to it.

Interesting that you consider any film with a black star to be a black movie. Jackie Chan was the co-star. Why isn't it a Chinese movie? Are the Lethal Weapon films black movies, too?
Meanwhile, the Fast and the Furious films lead stars are both half black. Shouldn't that add up to one whole black person? It's clear that having a black actor in a lead role is all that matters to you. A dummy like me considers Rush Hour a comedy, but no it's a black film. Lethal Weapon is an action film. Oh wait, black guy, black movie. Is Black Panther a superhero film? Nope. It's a black movie.
Consider the "case closed" if you wish, but I dare say most people, American, Chinese, or otherwise, don't lump all films with a black star into a category of "black" films.

Looks like you're far from correct now. You prediction that Black Panther's total worldwide gross would be $750m, at most $810m, was way off. It's at $897m now, and will break $1 billion soon.
Now the more interesting question is where it will end up on the all-time domestic earnings chart. It's clear that it won't pass Avatar for 2nd on the list, and almost certainly won't beat Titanic and take over 3rd place. The window of possible finishes seems to be between 3rd and 6th.
Where do you think it ends up domestically? What is your new expectation for its worldwide gross?

Yep. I predicted it'll earn around 750 million so I think I may be on the dot once this has cooled into finalization stage. I remember someone posting about it reaching 1 billion easily which I scoffed at since I was already seeing the dying down phase already happening on the 2nd week. Now it's really dying down.

Not total, around 750 million. I am thinking at most 810 million at most but we'll see as the days go by.
Now, to understand how stupid is your prediction let's see today's' numbers: Until Tuesday the movie had 748 mil. Lets put a small 16 mil more for Wed and Thur. That's 764 mil. Now, the weekend expectations are for 65 to 67 mill, but let's use a smaller amount, let's say 50 Mill. That will be a total of 814 mil without anything international. So once you consider the international numbers plus the fact that this is only it's third weekend, we can see that 810 mil (your always changing number) is ridiculous.
What will be the new number today 875 mil, give it or take? Ha, ha, ha... What will be you next prediction, that yesterday was February? Wow!

You do realize how predictions work, right? I don't have to give it or take it as you say because I never set it at 750 mil but around it as I mentioned numerous times. 810 mil was my predicted top at the time but now seeing trend it's going, it will probably go past that so I am now changing the target goal to 868 mil tops. You can take your stupid remark and shove it up arse for all I care.

You'll be proven right on one thing. BP will not make exactly $1 Billion dollars. It will exceed that amount but will NEVER make exactly that amount as it's final total.

The Box Office will come to a complete and screeching halt between 9.25 hundred million and 9.75 hundred million.
Since he already put his prediction of a range of box office numbers for the movie not getting into a billion dollars, this argument will not hold. He predicted a final number bellow the million so he will be wrong.
Also, even when the movie goes beyond one billion and finished well over it, the fact that at one point of time the movie will have made one billion in order to go further will make his point of "Will NEVER Make 1 Billion. I guarantee!!!" utterly wrong. So, he will have failed again. Obviously, the movie had to make 1 billion before going to 1.1 billion total. So, saying that the movie did not make exactly one billion, will not change the fact that the movie did MAKE one million at one point, invalidating this excuse of a thread... share

To where I said, yes.The average ticket price is about $8.00 and each one of those contributed more to where it is getting to than you did with your current watermark. After collecting tickets for Today BP will exceed $925 Million.
Without China, Japan and Russia Black Panther will easily exceed $1 Billion.

1, as I pointed out, BP almost certainly was going to perform like other similar MCU films in China and make at least 100 M, I pointed out Marvel Studios is now a Brand, thats what happens when you go 18 and 0, you build an audience that trusts YOUR BRAND....but for some ODD reason you thought BP would FLOP...
