Serkis fair bulked up for his part, don't you think?

He looked very intimidating and acted that way too. Very Tom Hardy presence.

By the end though he was mostly armless.

He's still a bit small, but pulled it off... Good effort

He was brilliantly menacing...the accent, the manic mannerisms. Serkis really should have several Oscars by now. He is great in everything he does. And he has been the genius behind the CGI acting in everything from Lord of the Rings, to Planet of the Apes, Star Wars, etc.....

I thought he pulled off being a tough guy quite well, considering we know he is pretty small in stature. Clothes, pads and makeup go a long way,but you need a good actor to use the tools.he was probably my favorite part of this. I hated that he died, because I wanted more of him.

reply

I thought he stole the show.

reply

Absolutely agree. I thought he was the most enjoyable character in the movie and would have loved to see more of him. Ah well.

reply

For sure, I thought his brand of crazy balanced out Black Panther's sombre character perfectly.

I was still holding out hope that by the end of the movie the fantasy element of Klaue (Klaw) would surface and he'd be the comic book villain/nemesis that Black Panther deserves.

M'Baku, Killmonger and Klaue were all grounded so it worked but an over-the-top costumed villain is still not part of the MCU.
