Apartment 23 rent per month?
I love this show and a bewildered at how it was not renewed when compared to other network sitcoms. That said, anyone have a guess what an apartment like #23 would truly cost per month in NYC today?

shareDepends on location, I haven't caught what area they live in, but I would guess $3000 minimum.
shareI'm guessing it was rent controlled. I say that because that seems like the go-to thing to say on TV when people who make only so much money. Friends, Sex in the City, How I Met Your Mother and others love to employ this trope.
"They have a grill, it's this grill. Now you have it...it's called America."
So true! The only Manhattan apartment I have seen in a tv show that seemed realistic was Ryan's tiny studio apartment in The Office.
