THE PEOPLE OF JAPAN

For those angered by what the Japanese did in this film try to understand that was the Japanese military. Also being presently stationed in Japan I can honestly tell you that the Japanese people today are probably the nicest, kindest, most honorable people in the world. I haven't been around every race but the Japanese have got to be up there. These people are nice almost to a fault and there is practically no crime here. Every country has committed barbaric acts of war and Japan certainly has done its share, but today this country is as peaceful as they come and you would be wise to check out their rich beautiful culture and traditions.

"You have the right to remain silent, so shut the *beep* up!"

The civilians were just as guilty as the government/military. WHen the US invaded Okinawa and the Soviets invaded Shakalin Island both in 1945 most of the civilians fought with the Japanese military or committed suicide rather then peacefully surrender against impossible odds.

most of what you note about Japan is true, crime almost non-existant, a culture of politeness, but none of that is relevant to the times and premises of the film.

It is also like travelling in the middle-east.

Most people are friendly, curious, even highly hospitable and helpful.

what of it?

So, Islamic terrorism can't possibly be real, right, must be a figment of our imaginations and product of Zionist controlled media propaganda?

the two things cannot possibly both be true and come from not only same society, but even often from same individuals, right?

Sure it can. No problem at all.
It's surprising that some people are still struggling with that not-much-of-a-paradox.
