A fun Rom-Com. Watch it
The rom-com segment must be one of the most competitive blocks in hollywood. It's filled with movies that try to tug at your heart strings while maintaining a balance with the profanity, the skinshow and the F-class jokes, all the while navigating a plot that has to be interesting yet realistic - with at least some tolerable acting if not brilliant.
That Awkward Moment certainly seems to do a fine job of all the above; it's got a likeable cast (with the obligatory black) and the acting is not bad. The story is also not all that hard to relate to. The humour is not over the top and neither is it too crass that it's unwatchable as a family affair. The bedroom scenes are tasteful and I found them very erotic without being too in-your-face. Plenty of sentimentality and good chemistry.
Definitely worth a see with your partner :). Go for it.
