Even though the ending implied that Jason probably got back together with Elle but I felt the ending was rather abrupt

It kind of reminded me of the end of Sideways...and this is probably the only circumstance that would use this and Sideways in the same sentence.

not seen sideways..

but as for the op i agree,

i hate it when movies end this way.. i want closure dammit..

but yeah life isn't like that, loads of things are left open.

we also are left to guess about mike and 'glasses girl'

closure, like a wedding? It was a good ending. ZE learned from his mistakes end of story. They are gonna probably break up after few years anyway.
