Thoughts after watching it

It'd be cool to be a guy and have an awesome bromance like this. They could have left out the rom-commy parts and just made this about 3 guys. After Efron opted out of the funeral, the whole "win her back" thing felt forced. I mean, was there anybody swooning over their epic romance at this point?

The other guy left his wife, and the third one only really advanced a pre-existing friendship to a friendship with benefits. Efron was working well enough as douche guy, there was no pressing need for reformation. He could have had a little moment of "Hey, I'm kind of a weirdo..." and that would have worked for character development.
