I know this has been brought up before, but

Who exaactly confuses a "dress up" party with a costume party. Ellie very clearly sad that everyone would be getting all decked out. Here on earth, decked out means wearing really nice clothes, like a suit and tie. Jason is quite clearly a moron.

The phrase "decked out" is applied to all sorts of things, such as costumes, cars, holiday decorations, as well as party clothes. The phrase "dress up" can be used in relation to costumes, but is often used for kids. They may play "dress up" games to make themselves look more like adults, or the phrase may be used for when they're dressing up dolls or doll-like images on computers or the internet.

With sophisticated events for adults people will say "dressy," "fancy," "formal," "elegant," etc. Ellie may have said something like that if she hadn't been drinking that night. Jason may have asked for clarification if he had not been drinking. Who knows.

Mag, Darling, you're being a bore.

Ok, I could see maybe somehow under the influence he could have misconstrued what she was saying, but at the same time he probably should have had even a tiny bit of doubt or uncertainty, and given the nature of his costume, he probably should have gotten a little clarification. I know my friends would definitely put a "wacky" or "crazy" in front of dress up party if they for some very odd reason didn't choose to call it a costume party. That all daysaid, he handled himself well enough while she was rocking out with his cauk out, lol.

I feel ya on this one - I think it was a bit of a stretch, but it was fun enough in the end and I love the movie as a whole so I tried to look past it haha

That was the dumbest part in the movie. Did anyone watching actually think she meant a costume party? What an idiot. As soon as he walked in the door he should've turned around, walked out, got changed, then went back. At least remove the giant cock.

Remove himself? Oh, you mean the dildo! 

You're not only wrong. You're wrong at the top of your voice.
