Shouldn't Hector have gotten arrested for what he did?

He provoked the fight and got Maureen killed, isn't that a crime?

I would have thought so too but they went with the "couldn't find out who did it" story and then put that it was all about the training and fight.

I am pretty sure that the person who takes a fight physical first is the one who usually gets arrested. You are supposed to be able to walk away from words. The cops did try to pursue the gun but that didn't go anywhere and I don't see a DA trying to charge Hope since it was his wife that died and it only got physical when Hope was defending his wife's honor.

Has anyone heard of gunshot residue testing? You can't wash it off.
Whoever pulled the trigger was the killer. There are no free passes especially for black guys.
The cops would have arrested everybody.
