Who will be returning?

I think the only characters returning in this film will probably be Billy Bob Thorton, Lauren Graham and Brett Kelly.

As long as Billy Bob Thorton and Tony Cox come back, I'll be happy. I'd also like their respective love interests and that kid to return as well. I'm interested to see what they do with this if it does follow the original characters.

If it is going to be direct-to-dvd movie with different actors in the roles, I won´t be watching it. I won´t go anywhere near it.

I could definitely be wrong, but I have a strong feeling that this will be a DTV movie with different actors and basically no continuity with the first Bad Santa.

Man, I would love a true sequel to the original, but that'll probably never happen.

Billy Bob Thornton confirmed he'd be in it months and months ago, so it's a proper sequel, yes.

I sincerely hope Thurman Murman is in the sequel. I know the kid's all grown up now, but I still want to see him. Dude cracks me up.

I wonder how they'll convincingly write it to have Billy Bob playing a mall Santa again--unless "Bad Santa 2" is just a working title. And he'll be a bad something else in this one. Hell, there are all kinds of other hustles the man could be working these days. And since the events of the last movie, you'd think they'd be on to Billy Bob very quickly, since his name was in the newspaper. I guess he could be using a different name or alias this time around.

I'm also interested to see how Tony Cox's character will be written into this movie. It will seem a little contrived to have him working with Billy Bob again, seeing that he almost murdered Billy Bob's character in the last movie. Maybe they won't be working together this time around. Maybe Tony Cox's character will be fresh out of prison and looking for revenge, lol.

Myabe Billy Bob could play the mentor /boss and the now grown up fat kid could play Santa
