What was so great about the end of Bad Santa

....was that they didn't try to sugar coat it and make out Willie was some reformed goody two shoes. He still called the kid, kid. Still swore, was going to go back and eff Mrs Santa's sister in the spa. I REALLY hope he stays bad. So sad that Bernie Mac has departed in the interim.

Agreed. Ritter's death was unexpected and tragic, and it's because of his death his character can't come back (when it could have possibly been in the sequel). Mac's death was truly terribly sad too, but for this franchise, his character was finished anyway. Speaking solely on "Bad Santa," these actors' untimely deaths can't be compared based on their characters' arcs.

The kid kicked the bully's ass at the end! That was awesome! He hit the bastard right in the balls!

I think the point is he still will be bad. No real reformation: seeming love for "the kid," but not a guy who's turned pious. Don't forget Ritter's death since the original either. Mac's character's storyline ended anyhow, but Ritter could have returned. Really sad he has since passed. (Also sad is Mac, even if his character was finished for this franchise.)

I'm not super jazzed about sequels anyhow, but deaths of actors who played characters does further hinder a new project (for me). We'll see how this fares in a few months...
