Agreed! Considering the trailer has jokes about domestic violence, little peoples' stature, masturbation, suicide, retardation/autism, and violence aplenty it feels safe to say it'll be a solid R
I further noticed that the audio/dialogue cut out abruptly in a few spots, no doubt dodging the censors for what was coming next.
Additionally, the central schtick/gimmick of the story (original included) is that it's a raunchy, drunk, sexual, crude, foul mouthed Santa. I found this to be one of the better comedic trailers I've seen his year. I hope they give decent time to Santa's interaction with kids (as the trailer indicated) as these were some of the most hilarious parts from the first film ("I don't give a f--k what you want, sitting' here blowin snot all over people and whatever!")
As for the cast, I'm raving that they brought Thurman back and with his advanced age can come more situational material (as seen in the trailer). Tony Cox definitely seems back in his element as Marcus and provided the writing is solid he should deliver pleasantly. I'm stoked to see Kathy Bates as she is a powerhouse character actress and has given some top-notch comedic performances (Primary Colors, About Schmidt, etc. etc)
I won't go off the deep end about Zwigoff's departure, but as someone mentioned hopefully this won't just be the Billy Bob show as we know he will again own this part.
Psyched to see it!
