Maybe her absence is the reason why Bad Santa went bad again despite retiring from crime in the first movie. Graham's character dumped his sorry as5, he went into depression, and returned to a life of crime.

She was way too hot for him anyway, I never understood why she would waste her time with some drunk old enough to be her father. Maybe she felt sorry for him at first, then like you said finally came to her senses and dumped him.
