Box Office is not looking good at all.

Even with the thanksgiving weekend , this movie will be lucky to clear 10 mill, they already have it finishing out of the top 5. i figured the audience score might save it but that's even only at 50%. Really loved the first one , they should have just left it alone.

As much as I was looking forward to it, I had a feeling it was going to bomb. Aside fro Broad Green Pictures doing a terrible job marketing all their films, the original was a cult classic and waiting 13 years to make it along with comedy sequels having a bad rep. It honestly seems like a lot of people didn't even know it was coming out and those that did have decided to wait and rent it. Shame too because it's actually a pretty decent sequel.

only made a little over 2 mill on friday in 8th place , with a 3 day total of 5,215,505.😱

so much for hendricks big boob box office appeal......

It tried to go against heavy hitters in Arrival, Moana, Allied, and Hacksaw Ridge. Really stupid decision on the producers and networks part. They should have released it two months ago.

whats the sense in releasing an xmas movie in september??

reply

It is being released late November, not September. Thanksgiving weekend is pretty good to release it as long as it stays in the theaters until Christmas which who knows with how quickly movies come and go these days.

There has been hardly any marketing for Bad Santa 2. I found out they were doing a sequel from just looking up the original on imdb and then never heard anything more about it, I saw one commercial 3 or 4 weeks ago and then maybe 1 or 2 other commercials and that has been it. The first "Bad Santa" I remember had dozens of commercials, I even remember the theme tune they played from the commercials which I put on my ringer for my cell phone, there were tons of interviews and other marketing for it and I went to go see it in the theater the opening week. How do they expect a movie to be successful if they don't market it properly and let audiences know/build up some hype? "Arrival" has a ton of marketing, "Hacksaw Ridge" a good amount despite no stars, there was even much more marketing for that Madea Halloween movie.

i don't know why anyone would be surprised with it's poor returns. the first one was garbage so why would anyone return for a second helping of garbage.

Hacksaw Ridge has already been out for a couple weeks. Although I did go see it yesterday afternoon and the showing I was at was sold-out.
