But not too bad. I'm surprised Franco is in it. The cast is actually pretty decent all around. I found it on Netflix and it's worth a view If you like low budget horror films. It's pretty violent too which is a big plus for me. I'd say 6/10
This is definitely not an action thriller. If it were to be boxed into any other genre (other than horror, of course), it would be crime only. I think the horror angle bogs the movie down a bit mostly because I came away feeling like I've seen the same theme played out much better in other movies, but it's not bad for a Netflix watch at all. I enjoyed it well enough.
James Franco doing a movie like this doesn't surprise me at all. He had a recurring role on General Hospital a few years ago, so he doesn't seem to see himself as "above" doing certain projects just because he's appeared in mainstream films.
I thought the horror angle made it a little more interesting than just a simple bank robbery film. Then again I'm a sucker for low budget horror. Even though this wasn't scary at all.
I guess that's true for Franco. He does seem to like to do all kinds of projects. I'm a fan so I'll watch almost anything with him in it. But not General Hospital.
The horror angle indeed made the movie more interesting, but I thought that they handled it poorly. It definitely wasn't scary at all though. It was still a pretty entertaining and enjoyable movie.
