I really hope this will prove DeNiro's has still got it

This seems like it could be a really good film. Although I don't know much about the director and how good he is, so if anyone knows about him, let me know. Obviously that's a huge factor along with the cast. It could go either way in my opinion.

I hope this would prove that Deniro's still got it, and hopefully he will get some nominations. Although it's always unpredictable with DeNiro...

AM I THE ONLY ONE HERE WHO GIVES A S**T ABOUT THE RULES!!

The Director is Hispanic (I think Mexican nationality), but other than that I don't know much about him. All I know is that he wrote the script and that he's producing and directing it. DeNiro seems to be making a comeback from a critical standpoint, considering he just earned an Oscar nomination. What should really be concerning is Usher being in the movie. Even though he's a supporting actor in it, I hope he took acting classes.

Yea, I don't see Usher as Sugar Ray Leonard. It doesn't fit.

Garcia had better be able to pull off that snarling, gritty, badass personality that Duran had in the ring.

DeNiro I have full confidence in, he is an absolute pro and when given solid material to work with, he delivers.

I am a bit concerned about the boxing though. I thought "The Fighter" was a very good movie with Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale but I did find the actual boxing in the movie to be quite poor. These actors are playing professional boxers and while I realize that they will never be as good as the professionals they are playing, there is a certain level they have to achieve. DeNiro I felt boxed quite well in Raging Bull and Even Russell Crowe was alright in Cinderella Man

I hope Garcia and Usher are working hard on their boxing, if any movie ever needed to have realistic boxing scenes, this one is it.

you know what you are? you're a bastard-coated bastard with bastard filling.

Its more of his choices of projects lately. He's been pulling a Nicolas Cage in recent years, acting mostly in direct to video level garbage like Bad Grandpa and B grade action movies that even Cinemax would hesitate to show.

This will be the only comment or reply you'll get. Like I give a sh!t about YOUR interwebz opinion.
