shareYES.
If you grew up in the 70's and 80's it is almost a tribute to those days.
There are a lot of references that a lot of people miss.
The big one is King Candy who is really a tribute to Ed Wynn, who was Disney's the Mad Hatter.
Totally. I loved video games when I grew up! This movie/film made me young again. Ha!

You'll find that Wreck-It Ralph rates pretty highly with adults, for a variety of reasons.
The old-school video game characters are a treat to those of us who grew up on games like those.
Ralph is, taking the video game aspect out of the story, a guy who has been working the same job for 30 years and feels extremely underappreciated for his efforts. Any adult working a dead-end job can relate to that.
For the kids, though, it's basically a fun buddy movie. A big wrecking guy and a little girl grow an odd friendship.
