They're becoming more rare thanks to home game consoles but they are still around.
shareAs the guy above me said, they still exist but I haven't seen one like the one shown in this movie for quite some time. I bet it's been at least 15 years since I've seen one like that.
shareThere are one or two in London and you still get them in seaside towns, but I don't see any in your average town nowadays here in the UK. In Japan they're still very common.
shareThey have them at service stations in the uk (weirdly). But you have to be 18 to get into them.
shareThe only times I see arcade machines at places are when I go to movie theaters or pizza places.
All I need is one mic...

I would think only in amusement parks now. The only time I ever see an arcade video game nowadays is at movie theaters.
I don't know is Chuck E. Cheese would he considered and arcade.
Growing up in the '80s they were popular in malls.
They still exist, though they are harder to find these days. There's a seafood restaurant called "Crabtowne USA" in Glen Burnie, MD, that has a HUGE arcade attached to it with tons of classic arcades and pinball machines. It's the only arcade of its kind in the DC region, but it's worth a car rental to get out there for a day.
The only other memorable arcade in the US that I've been to was Ground Kontrol in Portland, OR (two floors of arcades and pinball machines in a bar that hosts video game tournaments and game-themed concerts on occasion), but I know there are others in the US.
I love Crabtown. I grew up in Glen Burnie and use to spend countless hours there as a kid... made me fall in with Video Games, Batman and KISS lol. I recently visited in 2012 and everything still works!
Tarpon Springs, FL has a place called Replay Museum and it operates like an arcade
Wow. I'm glad Americans are keeping up the good work with arcades. A shame if those disappeared.
"Use the fork, Luke"
Dave a busters is a popular gaming chain. At least in my area there's 2
Ever hear of Dave and Busters?
Other than that, you can still find em in some places. United Skates of America has always had an arcade. There's a beach out here, (In Massachusetts) on the cape with a little kinda boardwalk with a building that has a nice sized arcade in it. They're hard to find, unless Dave and Buster's, but they are still around some places.
The mall in my hometown has one..but..even malls are going extinct now.
