Hilarious Unintentionally
The script is terrible.
shareI agree, I wanted to like it but found my self laughing at how horrible the dialogue was. Has the writer ever had a conversation with real people? The acting wasn't great either, but only so much you can do with a script that bad so I don't fault the actors too much. He's odd, let's repeat that a hundred times throughout the film, maybe people will just give up and accept it as funny and interesting. Also bodaks or however you spell it, just sounds really stupid and it got on my nerves, should've had a better name for them.
He should've passed out while driving the truck, at least then it would have a happy ending.
You didn't get the old fashioned detective movie style?
shareA Bodach is a boogeyman creature from Scottish lore. I am assuming that is where Dean Koontz got it from. They are used in the entire Odd Thomas book series, so it would have not made sense for them to change the name for the film.
shareWell, your profile name is "Swaggnificent" so I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say you were born after 1990?
The author was an American. They should have got a British writer. Even a Canadian would have done.
shareIt's amazing how people are trashing the movie. I'm reading the book, and so far the movie has been true to the book. So to be fair you should be complaining to Dean Koontz.
I thought the movie was superb in every respect.I thought the acting was particularly good. I'd like to see some of you armchair actors try to do what these folks did in front of the camera. You wouldn't hold a candle to their performances, yet you trash their performances.
Update: Just finished the book. The movie was true to the book to the point that even Dean Koontz praised it as well as the performances by Anton Yelchin and Addison Timlin.
Actors do not have a job...they have a blast!
Actually they kept it how the book was. It was meant to be that way.
