Watching it right now on Netflix. This movie deals with death a lot, and even one character in the movie gets killed by car right in front of Anton! Wow, talk about coincidences.

"What we got here is failure to communicate."

There is an even more remarkable coincidence. Early on in the film, Odd Thomas is chasing a murderer through an alley and is almost crushed against a wall by a backing-up SUV that looked very much like a Jeep Cherokee.

I find myself rewatching Middle of Nowhere and Odd Thomas a lot, and was always looking forward to his new movies. I think I was a fan of his, kinda, without even realizing or ever acknowledging it. Gonna miss him a lot.

Rest in piece, buddy. Thanks for everything.

I loved this movie when I saw it but did not make the connection between the lead actor and the new Chekov. That is a testimony to how very good Anton was!

I am so sad and sorry our artist community (and we are all one whatever art it is we do) has lost another shining light.

Prayers for his family, family of friends, and all his fans.

This was a so-so movie, but the first one I thought of when I heard about his death because of the subject matter. Odd Thomas was essentially about death. I'm sure it never occurred to him he'd pass away in just few years after making this movie. Very sad.

Such a freak accident. I heard the story yesterday but never realised it was the actor who played Odd Thomas 😢 RIP Anton.

I was so heart broken to hear this. I loved Anton in all of his roles. This was the last movie I watched of his about a week ago on Netflix and seriously hoped they'd eventually make another. Such a tragic way to pass. I hope that they fix the issue with the Jeep to protect others from the same fate. RIP Anton.

😢 I adored him as Odd Thomas, I think he was perfect. Truly sad.
