Melissa Barrera wants Salma Hayek to play her mother in Scream VII.

One direction the character could go, according to Barrera (via Comicbook.com), would be introducing her mother, who Barrera wants to see played by MCU alum Salma Hayek:

“I am dying to work with Salma Hayek. It would be a dream if she played my mother. It would be amazing.”

Would be awesome to have Salma Hayek in Scream VII.

Would be an awesome opening kill, since they're estranged, to draw the others back to Woodsboro (the franchise can only stay away so long).

Also, Hayek is much better than just "MCU alum," especially considering the movie she was in was one of the least good ones.
