the new problem about Sidney

Now that they've used the excuse of "She went into hiding" (which reasonably would've worked just as well in 5, would've made even more sense given that she lived a lot closer to Woodsboro given how quick she got there), it'd be hard to think of a reason to draw her out once more instead of just going into hiding again.

Unless. It's years later and her teenage children are now the targets. Which seems inevitable should the series continue, whether Campbell is involved or not.

Also it'd be especially hard to drag her back to Woodsboro. In 5 she only returned because of Dewey dying. There's no one left she cares about that much, not even Martha or Dewey and Tatum's mom. If it were somehow Gale (of course Gale would only go back if more killings occurred), there'd really be even less reason. I think as far as Sid's concerned, the core four are on their own. And if there ever were to be a definitively, pre-determined "final Sidney Prescott appearance," it'd almost have to be in Woodsboro. Which at that point would really only be logical if she was finally the killer.

Maybe that's it. Her kids will stupidly road trip there with friends to check it out, meanwhile she becomes the killer.
