I was really impressed by the +40 million opening.

I thought the franchise was going to be hurt after Campbell's exit, but this has just proved that she was not as important at all to the franchise's success.

I have several employees in their late teens/early 20s who saw it on opening weekend (none of them were even alive when the first movies came out).

Do you think Jenna Ortega's stardom (significantly) helped or is it all about Ghostface?

Just because the new movie is succeeding on its own merits doesn’t mean Campbell wasn’t a contributing factor to the previous entries’ successes.
