(Spoilers) Even a woke person would find this too woke if they have any common sense.
Where to begin, they start the movie off by killing the stereotypical ' nice white girl/ final girl ' character within like 5 minutes. The rest of the film is basically any white person is either dumb, gets killed or is evil. The black characters are all somehow invincible, Ghostface has no interest in killing them, just wounding them. They were clever, here and there they tried to make the white characters shine a bit, but it was painfully obvious they're trying to hijack this franchise and make the new heroes black.
Make your own black movies if it bothers you so much that most of the greatest franchises are white ideas. Oh wait, you lefties have Jordan Peele, and to his credit he started off really well but people are starting to realize his movies are marketing pushes and media hype, it died off as quickly as it came. Nobody and I mean nobody is ' excited ' for the next Jordan Peele horror feature. This is why Hollywood is going after these traditional franchises and trying to replace the white mains with black mains.
The scream franchise came from the late 90s, that same decade we had Candyman, you're probably wondering wtf does that have to do with Scream? Well see that illustrates the point perfectly. Candyman had blacks and whites in the movie, it was a horror classic, everyone black and white loves the 1992 movie, in there blacks and whites are portrayed as nothing more than characters, no special political crap or agendas, just a cool horror movie with some hood and black elements.
Scream was just white people getting murdered for the most part, a silly slasher with some clever commentary on horror. Again, no political crap or agendas. This new breed of horror (if you can even call it that) is made with a specific agenda in mind, to trivialize white characters as heroes or important in a story and to push ideas about black resilience in some weird convoluted and obviously politicized way. As such I can no longer spend money on this crap, this was the last time. Seriously, every black character in the movie is either smart, cool or daring while most white characters bar like 1 is of any real significance, the story or Ghostface itself almost takes a backseat which is just weird.
