With roommates, people can afford those small apartments in the city . 2-3 people chip in about $700-1000 a month. Sharing bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms aren’t fun though

Did you see the film? They were pretty large apartments, even for kids who were sharing them, and it didn't appear that any of them were particularly rich (maybe the cop's daughter would have been reasonably well-to-do).

Yeah in NY one bedroom apartments are highway robbery. Something that big idk

My father was a NYC cop and I laughed at that haha. But they do make a decent salary.
