early killer guesses

I feel like it's Dermot Mulroney. He's a cop, right? So it'd go against trend. Also, I'm not calling him old, but he's not as youthful as the typical Ghostface. Of the 9 Ghostfaces so far, 5 were in high school, one was in college, two were definitely still in their 20s, and then Mrs. Loomis. Plus, his age could feed into it. Maybe he was crafting this for a long time, even before 5 occurred. He went to NYC because it's a large playground. He wanted to create a narrative of a serial killer in the city, that he could then stop and be the hero. Didn't matter who. He's been at it for a while. But with the arrival of the Woodsboro 4 in the city, he saw fit to change it up and become the new Ghostface. Which is part of why he doesn't need Sidney. This new setting is more crucial than she is.

is it possible for the viewer to figure out who the killer(s) is before the reveal in the film, in any of these films? is there enough clues and deductions set up for the most smart/perceptive viewer?

reply

Yes, but in the sense that these movies are good at having red herrings. For the first half, typically everybody's a suspect. So it's more like if you suspect everyone and look for clues, you're bound to hit something. I'm just guessing early. But I don't really care about being right, I'm just in it for the ride.
