the New York setting

I'm actually for this, as long as it's better than when Jason tried to take Manhattan.

A Scream movie's best setting tends to be Woodsboro. But it doesn't *have* to be Woodsboro. Forcing it to be each time would be lame. And it's left Woodsboro before. And 3 is all in LA, a huge city, if decidedly of a different feeling than the Big Apple.

If nothing else it will at least give the movie its own feel for sure, see the hijinks Ghostface gets up to there. Though worried that between that and no Sidney, it might feel *too* different, but I guess time will tell.

Plus, as of 5, we know it's where Gale lives and works, so at least that makes it feel organic for her to be around (and no Sidney who seemingly still lives in CA). Because especially without Sidney it would feel a bit much to have Gale jet set to whatever small college town they'd be in.

I guess that's an easy way to explain no Sydney. She doesn't live there. Plus it leaves it open for Neve to return in future installments, unless they do the same thing they did to Liev Schreiber and kill her off in the first five minutes..

Who knows. If they kill Sidney in the opening, that would make it easier to film her scene and keep it secret until the premiere.

ill watch it, and then crap on it
