could have been even better

should have more developed side quests and story. Something like in fallout new vegas where every place has a story to it.

So like the city is actually empty. You only travel from crime scene to crime scene with obstacle cars on the road. While it is still fun you can quickly sense that its just an empty moving map and the city despite movement is virtually dead, nothing happens, just people move around. While this already was in police quest for such a beautifully crafted city like in l.a. noire is a waste of resources.

The main character works all the time. In the noir movies not everything happens when the cop/investigator is at work. Most of the time things happen outside the working hours.

No typical police quest routine (well some, but just a little). Actually I loved checking tires, filling forms, desk job, searching through files of old cases having a shower every time starting and finishing work in police quest I really miss that in l.a. noire. You could easily get more immersed into the life if there were at least more mini games- interrogation is ok, car chasing is great, chases and fist fights are ok too but its just a very little comparing to for example fallout new vegas or police quest where you have to do everything, take a bath, go to sleep, repair weapons etc

No women so far. Im actually in about 1/4 of the game but so far I haven't seen any women like in Chinatown black dahlia etc. always thought that this would be key

Yeah la noire was was disappointing in the fact that outside of the quests the city was pretty dead. FO:NV is just a massive living world that is an awesome feat of gaming with so many side quests and different outcomes that build on, shape, and explain the universe its hard to compare anything to it. I do hope they make an la noire 2 that uses the city they made(which is great, structurally) in more ways then go from a to b to c, etc. and changes the rock, paper, scissor interrogation(questioning) to a more realistic push/pull(kinda good cop/ bad cop) one that was in deus ex:hr that uses a flow conversation and not the notebook/question system.

The problem with LA Noire is that all the focus was on the visuals, the facial, and motion capture. Because of that the gameplay suffered immensly, and ended up just being a dull experience overall. I was looking forward and ended up being let down.

Actualluy problem was there wasnt much substance, shooting scenes were quite long, while the evidence and adventure were about like ONE item to find at the place and one conversation which sucked as an adventure game. It looked like the creators were too big bitches for the console gamers to force them into ANY hard thinking
