Anti-Male Garbage
Yet another "horror" movie that makes women the center of attention, while men are portrayed as idiots. Very sexist indeed and unrealistic as well.

Yeah yeah except the opening segment has a dumb bimbo of a girl and Moe is potrayed as a selfish bitch and no sympathy is directed to her.
Sense of proportion....look up the phrase
And how are women portrayed in most horror movies?
share"And how are women portrayed in most horror movies?"
And for some reason the way women are portrayed in movies justifies and refutes the OP's opinion? I actually do not agree with the OP, but pointing out how women are portrayed in horror movies is irrelevant to the point he was making, as it only addresses another problem not a solution.
And besides, more often than not, it is a female character in the horror film that survives and defeats the bad guy. The majority of victims are generally women, I agree, but women are more often the horror movie hero before a man is.
It isn't as if the women in this films were sympathetic characters, save the little girl.
shareI think I disagree, the first segment had a male who seemed very articulate and intelligent, who had a dumb blonde girlfriend who was annoying as hell; the segment with the guy and his wife cutting his cock off the hero and brains was the male psychiatrist, and the wife wasn't very likeable or smart; the one where he killed his wife, yes he was unstable and clingy, but she was an unlikeable slut bag; I would say there were more likeable guys than girls in this movie, like someone above me said, the only likeable female character was the little girl.
she'll come back as fire, burn all the liars, leave a blanket of ash on the ground ~ Kurt Cobain
Just curious, are you a rock nazi? You name indicates it.
shareI respectfully disagree... I was not offended in the least bit. Nor did I find it sexist. The characters both male and female were slime balls. Yes the character of Donnie was portrayed as a pig but his wife tore off his limbs and removed his sexual organ. Not a great gal. Martin was a very intelligent and respectable whereas his girlfriend was whiney and a nuisance the whole time. The best female character as said before was the girl in "The Accident." Overall this was a great film.

Only a man-hating idiot would ask me that question.

I have to agree with the OP here. Just even knowing how the producers went about to put this together is a tell all. Every single story had the exact same directive to work from and they were all to be anti-male. There is not a positive male character in this; if something bad happens to a female character it is the fault of the male; the audience is to side on bad things happening to males (he deserves it); even the thoughts, opinions and feelings are to be considered nothing. "I'm only interested in women's stories. They're the true creators. The ones who suffer. Men's predictable stories hold no interest to me, no blood, no life. The strongest memories come from women . . ." Every single story in this has a point to degrade, dismiss and promote acts of violence against men.
The sad thing is that this is all considered feminist or pro-woman, but how any of this has to do with equality is really mind numbing. Though you may say that there are so many horror movies showing women as victims, which there are, but there are also plenty of male victims in most of them too . . . Also, you don't have that type of cinema where the audience is completely supposed to be cheering for the violence to be happening if it is a woman. Just like in the old cliche of save the women and children, men's lives are to be considered unimportant. Misandry cinema/feminist cinema. Of course we have to have one story at least where a man's genitals are being mutilated repeatedly - oh, and he deserves it . . .
I have to say you'e looking waaaay to deeply into this.
Someone oughta teach you some manners Vernon
