I mean, he looks like no one else in the family, and apparently when he was born, he had black hair and then it turned blond naturally.
I mean, hair getting darker is normal, but I've never heard of hair going lighter naturally.
I don't know though.
It's not unusual for blonds to be born with dark hair. I have a friend who has super blond hair -- the kind most people only get out of a bottle! -- but she had dark black hair at birth. It fell out after a few months and came in blond.

My youngest brother is blonde while the rest of us are brunettes, and he was born with the darkest hair out of all of us.
shareI was born with jet black hair that grew lighter as I grew up and settled into dishwater blonde when I was about 3. Hair changes color based on genetics and environment, and most of my family are either blonde, dishwater blonde, or light brown.
shareIt's pretty rare. Try not to make it too much about hair colour and look out more for stature, the face etc.
He might also just be adopted, if he really doesn't look like anyone in the family. That's much more likely.
In any case, be careful how to raise the issue with him. It's one of those kind of questions that makes people offended.
