BLU RAY EXTENDED SCENES?
How are the extended Scenes? And where is the best place to get it? Any exclusive items? Thanks in advance!

shareAll episodes except Missio are extended. The Bitter End has the most added.
shareI watched all the blu ray episodes, I noticed that pretty much EVERY sex scene was extended.
The one in episode 1 where Gannicus bangs the two chicks is probably 3x longer than the original, even I thought it was getting a bit pornographic lol. There are also extra montages of the gladiators training in between cuts.
I think "Missio" is the only one NOT extended.
A few extra bits of Gaia pouring wine and Batiatus slurping it up, I enjoyed that scene quite a bit!
The orgy scene in episode 4 also had a lot of new shots, like the shot of Barka getting boffed from behind is longer, it shows the guy kissing him first. Lots of extra weiners, unfortunatly. I even saw two naked guys facing each other where their junk was DEFINITELY touching. Nasty.
The only extra violence I can think of is when Gannicus kills the guy during the blindfold fight, it's definitely got some extra shots of his victim gushing blood from the neck.
The last episode had lots of extras, but I can't recall. I think there may have been an extra dialogue scene or two, I'll check it out again when I watch 'em with commentary.
Any interesting comments about the sex and/or nude scenes from either the actors or the producers? Unfortunately we didn't get the commentaries on the DVD.

Is only Blu-ray extended? I got a walmart gift card for xmas and the stupid store was out of blu-ray and only had standard. I didn't want to wait any longer to see it. Have I missed much?
shareI found it disappointing most of the extended scenes were sex or gore. Don't misunderstand, those scenes were great in their extended form, but I wished for more in general.
I remember when Crixus and is first introduced to Ashur, Dagan and Indus he explains how he got Batiatus' attention by fighting because he wanted to be a gladiator. I liked this addition and thought it was important. It establishes Crixus' passion early on, and makes Indus' "you willing present ass for *beep* line make a lot more sense).
During the fight after Ashur eats Auctus' birds, Crixus comments that Ashur often reminds him he is not yet a gladiator. This line I hated. Ashur knows damn well he is only a gladiator because he got it through dishonourable means, which at the time seemed to bother him, it seems odd he would use this to mock Crixus, at the time his friend. Ashur may be an ass, but he's not a dumbass.
