Gannicus Time Line
Does anybody know what he was doing since he left the ludos ? And why go from freedom to a bleak war ?
shareI have a feeling all of those questions will be answered in season 2. My guess is that he enters the war to help Doctore. He was his best friend, regardless of the Melitta situation. In real life, Gannicus was never a slave in a ludus.

shareConsidering nothing is known about him, he might have been a slave in a ludus, or an alien from Rygell 7 come to abduct sheep and got caught up in a little slave revolt.
shareOne fact is that he was a free man at the start of the revolt that had done some freelance work for a Roman legion.
shareAccording to what source? No source mentions any work for a Roman legion, and a single source gives him a Roman first name, meaning he was free. He might never have been a gladiator, or slave, or anything. Only the name is actually known.
