I thought this was a really good movie. It was very positive and a movie for families...a clean, wholesome movie. I am very shocked by the rating.

I agree. Not usually my type of film, a little bit overly sentimental, but a clean wholesome fairy tale. I suppose with no CGI, no murder death kill or outrageous sex scenes its not going to score too highly on here.
shareI'm in my 50's, but every now and then I'm in the mood for a family movie like this. Don't know if it was a "Hallmark" movie, but it had that kind of feel to it. Great casting. The girl who played Josh, was (gasp!) actually a 10 or 11 year old girl. How refreshing. So often, a teenager 3 or 4 years older would play that type of role. Good acting by her, and the others. Predictable plot, as we could see the adoption angle coming from the onset. Still, it brought a tear to the eye despite that. So, job well done by cast and crew.

shareI liked it! Not usually into the Hallmark Channel warm and fuzzy movie of the week, but this one worked. I would have made the baseball game at the end a little shorter, but I am a huge fan of movies that can be made decent on a small budget. Also, an appearance by LG Jr is always a good thing. Liked the cleaning the garage metaphor for the husband's life. Even a doof like me picked up on that one.
