Do you see them making sequels to this?
Maybe going more into the people that make The Substance and what their motivations are, or following someone else who wants to use The Substance.

shareNah. I doubt it. It's not American. 'Oh we've had a hit, we better make another one to cash in' is not a particularly strong impulse in European cinema. Not that it doesn't happen. But it doesn't happen nearly as much.
Coralie Fargeat has already turned down Hollywood projects. She's not super commercially-minded. And she set up her own production company for The Substance so that she could retain complete creative control. It'll only happen if she wants it to happen. And I suspect she is too French to make an unnecessary sequel. But you never know.
You're probably right, cause she delivered her message with this perfectly, selfishly i'd just like to see another one to get more info on the people who make The Substance and that whole mysterious network of people. Cause we never see anyone on that side of thing just a mysterious voice on the phone.
shareIn the era of direct-to-DVD films it probably could, such as the sequels to Species in the 2000s, but those types of movies don’t get made anymore.
shareI highly doubt it... Who makes the substance is not important to the story Coralie Fargeat is telling... And I don't think she is interested in creating a story/film about that... But hey... I could be wrong...
