Horrible

Having watched the original and then having watched the trailer and a clip of the movie on last night's Conan, I beg everyone on this board and anyone with eyes and ears to please, please watch the original one. I don't care if you don't speak Spanish. Watch it with subtitles on (not dubbed). You will not and cannot regret it. Chiwetel Ejiofor was on Conan last night and they showed a clip of the scene where his character discovers that the murdered female body is actually Julia Roberts' character's daughter and his acting was just bad. There is no other way to describe it. It was exaggerated, unemotional and just bad. That whole thing he was doing with his fist by his mouth just seemed as if he was freezing his ass off and trying to regain some warmth instead of having just discovered that his friend's daughter was brutally murdered. Anytime I watch something with bad acting and criticize it, my husband will usually laugh and ask "Could you do any better?". This time, when the clip was played on the tv, he turned to me from his computer game and let his character die in order to say "Wow that was *beep* awful". Agreed. Watch the original one and you will feel like you're right there in the movie with them. The acting is friggin incredible. The dialogue was real and not at all forced. Very emotional movie. Watch the original. This one seems like a bootleg version from RedBox of the original one. There is a reason why it won an Oscar for Best Film (Foreign).
