Why? Let me rephrase: WHYYYYYYYYYY!!!!???????

Stop it!

Stop remaking films that don't need it. And if you *are* going to remake films just because people are too stupid to read subtitles, don't change the goddamned plot to make it even MORE generic!

When I saw Julia Roberts character (who presumably will be playing the role of the Widower) as the main focus of the trailer.. rage. Rage came over me. You can almost smell the twist just from seeing the trailer. 

Now, don't get me wrong, I think there is a small chance that this movie doesn't suck. But it's so completely unnecessary, I just can't.

Maybe to bring awareness to American audiences?

You're apart of the .001% of people who watch foreign films regularly.

They make those *beep* remakes for the 90% self centered uncultured living in their bubble population that cant watch a film if its not in English, its a shame!

I'm actually more mad about the fact that they changed the plot so that Julia Roberts character is a badass mother cop going vigilante than the fact that the film is being remade.

Look at what they did to the Oldboy remake. Sadly, the remakes are often all anybody sees and retroactively hurt the reputation of the originals.

There are ghosts in Winterfell. And I am one of them.

This isn't a remake. A remake would be something like Sabrina, same characters, same storyline, etc.

This is an adaptation from a foreign language film. There are merged characters in the American version.

I've been waiting for a good thriller to come along and I read the reviews and thought I would see this movie. I was disappointed in it. Too many flashbacks and too long and I could see the ending coming in the first 15 minutes. I've never saw the foreign film but a thought it was too predictable and that's what disappointed me.

Julia was too thin, her face sunken in and frail looking. I cannot believe that Nicole and Julia are the same age. Nicole certainly aged better.
