After episode 1 of Season 3, please help me understand some things....

1. What is the end game of the resistance? To take back America? Or, to actually travel to the parallel world where America won?

2. Has it been explained yet what happens to the traveler's counterpart when one jumps to another world? Or, you can only travel if your counterpart has passed away?

3. MITHC said first video was a fake to get people riled up. So it was just a coincidence that he made such a video, and later on, real videos from parallel worlds started to come?

3. In S03E01, we learn John Smith sends his henchmen to get Joe. Why does John Smith want Joe Blake dead?

1. its revealed at the end, they wanted to send their armies to conquer other worlds.

2.yes , you could only go to the other worlds where "you" are no longer around.

4. He only send Erich raeder to help Joe with the paper work (discreetly), Joe kills him because he was ordered to , the reason is revealed a few episodes later.
